Who is the contemporary hygienist?

The contemporary hygienist and contemporary therapist are empowered. They are passionate and they want to work autonomously. They invest in themselves, their health and their business. They are driven with a thirst for life-long learning. They want to be the best they can be mentally, physically and professionally.

How the study clubs evolved?

Claire Louise And Faye are passionate dental hygienists who founded and started a study club to support their fellow colleagues in Leeds. The events they held were successful and after listening to what the delegates were telling them, they realised this was a concept that was needed nationwide. So the study club evolved and grew and the Contemporary Hygienist was born.

As we continue to evolve, we are proud to announce that the CH team has grown to include big names such as Ben (Gums Guy), Anna (THE London Hygienist) and Lottie (Teeth by Lottie and self proclaimed tree hugger), as new trainers and speakers at CH courses.

The Contemporary Hygienist movement was founded to empower and support by providing quality training, intimate discussion groups and networking opportunities, all held in motivating environments.

We believe right now is an exciting time to be a hygienist and therapist in our industry. Let’s work together to push our profession. Welcome to the Contemporary Hygienist

What is the difference?

This whole concept is all about you. We host power lectures to develop the skills you need to run a successful hygiene business, feel inspired & motivated and have joy in your career. We want to create the links you need with local healthcare providers so you are best supporting your patients in their oral and systemic health. We want our profession to be seen as the experts we are. We want you to learn from industry leaders, so you have the clinical confidence to realise your worth.

But it's not just about business and the clinical aspect of our role. We want you to look after yourself, both physically and mentally. We want you to enjoy doing what you do and we want you to get the most out of the career you have.

Your mindset and wellbeing is as important to us as you loving the clinical aspect of your role. We recognise this is a concept which is often over looked, especially in the busy, fast paced life of a hygienist and therapist. So we want you to take some time, slow things down and breathe. Keep an eye out for our mindset days and retreats.
